Dr. Dan Haas, D.D.S., is a general cosmetic dentist and a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto. He instructs senior dental students in the preparation of fillings, crowns, and bridges.

He graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and Microbiology from the University of Toronto, and his dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy. He has now been an active faculty member at the University of Toronto School of Dentistry for fifteen consecutive years. Over the past three years, Dr. Haas and his team have taken courses through the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, including courses on restorative, cosmetic dentistry. He has also trained with the Nobel Biocare dental implant company. Over the course, he personally placed many implants on clients following the manufacturer's instructions for the proper use of dental implants for the best possible results.

Dr. Dan Haas is a member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) and is certified in the use of both a diode soft-tissue laser and an erbium all-tissue laser. He is also an active member of the IACA (International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics) and the ODA (Ontario Dental Association). Dr. Dan Haas has been a clinical consultant for over a decade for the dental publication The Dental Advisor which features product ratings and long-term clinical information. By doing so Dr. Dan Haas is continuously exposed to current materials.

Volunteerism is central to Dr. Dan Haas' character, and he has been recognized by the Ontario Provincial Government for his decade of ongoing volunteer work providing dental care to homeless and street-involved youth at the SHOUT clinic.

Dr. Dan Haas' dental philosophy focuses on the use of diligent prevention to protect teeth and prevent emergencies. Every one of his regular clients receives a comprehensive dental exam every five years, including a full course of X-rays. When restorations are necessary, he focuses on selecting the most conservative treatment available. By preserving more natural tooth structure he achieves results that are more functional and aesthetic.
